Lisa Adams-Davey is a highly experienced education professional with a long career working in the performing arts higher education sector. She is a qualified psychotherapist and hypnotherapist with a focus on research, performance and therapy.
Lisa began her performing arts career as an artist, theatre director, consultant, and academic over thirty years ago. She was a senior lecturer and a teaching and learning fellow, with her practice as research (consultancy) having included collaboration with the Royal Northern College of Music. She founded, and was the artistic director for, the therapeutic theatre company Confiança Collaborative, designed and developed several degree courses, and sat on numerous higher education boards.
Lisa went on to train as an integrative transpersonal psychotherapist and in 2018 launched Trust Therapy. She has since worked as a senior therapist and trainer, facilitating with many organisations including the UK National Health Service and Cambridge University. She was a technical consultant for Sodexo’s Global Mental Health and Wellbeing Training Program which was Sodexo’s highest-rated employee health training program. She was awarded an International Certificate of Recognition from LivingWorks in Canada for her contributions to building Suicide Safer Communities and her research has been internationally recognised as having a positive and constructive impact on society.
Lisa has a master’s degree in contemporary performing arts, a BA(Hons) in theatre studies and English literature, and a PGCE. She is also a qualified psychotherapist and runs her own clinical practice in the Southeast of England, UK.
