Iman Hill

Iman Hill is Country Manager and Managing Director at Vaalco Energy, and an independent non-executive director at Jersey Electricity PLC, and United Oil & Gas.
Iman is an experienced executive in the oil and gas industry. Over a career spanning 40 years in the industry, she has held senior leadership, technical and commercial l roles, including positions at Shell and BP, leading engineering operations and working closely with stakeholders, including foreign governments and regulators.

Until recently she was CEO of the International Oil and Gas Producers’ Association, where she led the development of their Carbon Transition Strategy, supporting the industry in reducing emissions, and improving performance in health and safety, environmental and engineering asset management.
A results-oriented, energetic, motivated and committed business and people leader, Iman has a proven track record in building and running businesses and motivating others to deliver. She is an excellent communicator with effective interpersonal and stakeholder management skills based on an understanding of cultural diversity.
Iman has an MSC in Computer Science and a BSC in Biochemistry from Aberdeen University. She holds an MBA from INSEAD.
Iman is fluent in Arabic and English and speaks business French and basic Russian.
