Creating Safety is a workshop designed for OSH managers taking the next step on their journey to safety excellence. We explore the what, how and why of creating safety, enabling participants to deeply understand some of the softer, people-based skills that are essential for driving forward leadership and safety culture excellence.
Creating Safety is a dynamic, interactive workshop exploring the challenges of effective and sustainable safety culture change and the barriers and enablers for safety excellence. Participants will explore how safety is sometimes misunderstood by leaders as a task delegated to others, rather than being an integral part of their own responsibilities. Additionally, they will define safety and develop actionable strategies to foster a culture of safety excellence that can be promptly implemented.
Using a blend of reflection exercises, thought experiments and group work, this workshop is highly engaging with its fast-pace, deep discussions, and practical perspectives. The workshop also points to the future role of OSH managers when it comes to achieving safety culture excellence.
Based on the world’s best-selling book on safety culture, From Accidents to Zero, Dr Sharman shares practical ways to create safety and help leaders set the right tone from the top as he shares the Four Es which are essential to bring about an evolution of approaches to workplace safety and to create a culture of care in your organisation.
