Tim WALSH

HEAD OF INSTITUTE COMMUNICATIONS

Tim Walsh is a Chartered public relations practitioner and communications strategist specialising in the field of occupational safety and health. The first half of Tim’s career began in journalism before his move into a senior Government communications role in the UK. Since then, Tim has taken PR management and director roles for a number of membership organisations in safety and health and risk management.

Alongside his professional commitments, Tim is a Trustee of One Percent Safer. The charitable foundation’s aim is to promote the application of marginal gains in safety and health at work, raising funds from book sales and corporate partnerships for safety initiatives in vulnerable parts of the world. The charity is currently supporting projects in Ukraine, India and Ethiopia.

At IILSC, Tim advises on communications strategy and leads on the promotion of the Institute and its products and services, including EHS Congress, the IILSC Fellowship and executive education programs.

Tim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Economic History and Postgraduate qualifications in journalism.
