Philippe Delquié is a professor at George Washington University in Washington DC focusing on human and machine decision-making, risk taking and avoidance and business analytics. He has developed executive seminars and consulted for major organisations that need to deploy best processes to deal with high levels of risk and uncertainty, in many sectors, on five continents.
A hallmark of his research is to take insights from experimental studies of human behaviour and analytic modelling to design novel decision-making methods and tools. His research papers have been published in the world’s leading academic reviews in his field.
Prior to joining GW, Philippe held faculty appointments at INSEAD, École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay, Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business (visiting) and the University of Texas at Austin. He holds a BS in civil engineering from École Nationale des Travaux Publics, Lyon, and MS and PhD degrees from MIT. Philippe is a dual citizen of France and the US.
