Overview

CEDEP’s Total Safety Leadership (TSL), delivered in person or online, is an innovative, practical, and interactive two-day workshop highlighting the essential leadership, cultural and behavioural aspects of workplace safety to systematically move your organisation forward on your safety journey.

Leadership is essential to the success of all organisations. But in today’s fast-paced world of work, leadership needs to be more action-focused than position-driven. This is especially true when it comes to matters of workplace safety. Safety leadership is not just about the application of policies and procedures – it’s about winning hearts and minds. This interactive workshop equips participants with the knowledge and understanding to develop commitment, drive positive change, and build a robust culture of safety in your organisation.

Drawing on robust research, proven methods, and concepts from a diverse range of sources including science, the arts, Buddhism, and Greek mythology, we explore the critical components of effective safety leadership. This workshop helps participants build a practical toolkit of simple, high-impact tools and techniques designed to develop leadership capabilities and confidence and return rapid results for your workplace.

Learning journey

Based on the global best-selling book From Accidents to Zero: A Practical Guide to Improving Your Workplace Safety Culture, this interactive two-day in-person or online workshop uses a range of discovery learning techniques including individual activities, syndicate exercises, and group discussion to stimulate critical thought and to embed ideas, concepts and knowledge.

Throughout the workshop, participants will be encouraged to reflect critically on their own work and leadership styles, organisational cultures, and real-world experiences to develop their personal action plans for implementation when returning to the workplace.

This workshop has been conducted worldwide from Europe to Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, and from Australia to the US, bringing together safety professionals, operational leaders, and managers from across industries to share and learn the route to safety excellence.
